On a night like this.......!
I should really let Helen blog about this but it might take a while! In the early hours of Thursday morning we arrived at Norwich International Airport to board our 07:20 flight with Flybe to Manchester. They say its best to avoid flying on windy days, especially severe weather warning days, but we had no choice! The flight lived up to what we thought it would be....ARRRGGGGG!! Plenty of prayers went up while I was trying to be cool for H saying "this is fine, dont panic!" The landing was a miracle too! Click HERE to see a similar landing to ours! In fact ours was one of the last flights in before they cancelled everything.
Anyway, this was all because we were seeing Kylie at the MEN Arena. To add to our problems the train link was out from our hotel to the MEN and every road in Manchester was gridlocked and we had to get to the other side of town! A 30min journey took us 2hours in a taxi taking every short cut there was through every part of Manchester! We made it with time to spare! After grabbing a quick drink we waited for Kylie.
She didn't disappoint! It was a fantastic show and the quality of her singing and the band took me by surprise. She was on stage for 2hr 30mins! Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pics, but I took a few sneaky's!
So £50 on taxis later and 2 stunt flights on the windiest days of the year I can say it was definitly worth it! We also saw Gavin Henson who was checking in to our hotel with Charlotte Church. We had to leave before she got there though!
